PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — A person working at a recording studio was ambushed throughout a capturing in South Philadelphia on Wednesday morning. Police are calling the sufferer lucky.

The person was in a position to run to the closest Wawa, the place he was transported to Jefferson Hospital, and he’s anticipated to be OK.

Police inform Eyewitness Information round 1:30 a.m., the sufferer was leaving the constructing to satisfy an Uber Eats driver after ordering meals. Police say the sufferer acted quick.

“This startled the 31-year-old, so he started to run,” Chief Inspector Scott Small mentioned. “And whereas he ran, that’s when he heard a number of pictures and realized he was shot within the leg.”

The sufferer then ran two blocks to the closest Wawa the place police discovered him after which took him to Jefferson Hospital.

Police are hoping surveillance video from the cameras on the entrance of the constructing will assist them establish the suspects.
